Back in Italy, I set out with a bold ambition: to explore whether artificial intelligence could help predict judicial outcomes in Italian courts. I assembled a team of experts and worked at the intersection of law and technology, determined to understand not only what was possible, but what was truly sustainable.

What I discovered was just as valuable as success. The Italian legal system—rooted in interpretation rather than strict precedent—was not yet ready for predictive algorithms. Rather than forcing a vision that didn’t fit reality, I made the strategic decision to close the project. That experience strengthened my ability to assess risk, read complexity, and make clear-headed decisions when it matters most.

At the same time, I recognized a new frontier emerging: crypto and blockchain. I immersed myself in the legal and tax implications of decentralized finance, crypto assets, and NFTs, developing a deep expertise in an area that was still largely uncharted.

Together with two partners, I co-founded Cybertax, the first service in Italy to automate cryptocurrency tax calculations. Incubated by i3P at the Polytechnic University of Turin, the startup reached a valuation of €1.5 million. More importantly, it delivered concrete solutions in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.

That journey taught me what leadership truly means: taking responsibility, building resilient teams, making strategic decisions under pressure, and turning uncertainty into structured opportunity.
